Vanessa was born in Niagara Falls, Canada and attended Huntington University, graduating with a B.A. in Music Education. While at Huntington, she went on her first mission trip to Haiti and fell in love with the people. In 1998 Vanessa and her husband, Brad, moved to Haiti where she started the School of Hope with 230 children and helped to launch the Nutrition Program. She pioneered the first children’s ministry program as well as the first worship team for Church of Hope. She also served for years as the Director of Hospitality for teams that would visit Haiti to serve along side MOH. She and her husband Brad have four children (JD, Georgie, Beau, and Jaima), two of whom were birthed in Haiti and two of whom were adopted from Haiti. Vanessa currently serves as the Director of Women’s Initiatives for Mission of Hope, Haiti.
